  14. Can I Extend the Repayment Period of My Loan?Each state has their own regulations in regard to extension of the repayment period of a loan. If you live in a state that allows extensions, please contact your lender in advance to let them know that you are unable to make a payment, and would like to have an extension.
  15. What Happens If I Default on My Loan?If you are unable to make the agreed upon payments to your lender, you can expect them to use any legal means possible to collect the money that is due. Defaulting on your loan may also result in higher interest rates and additional fees.
